Daryn.Online is Kazakhstan’s leading national e-learning platform, launched in response to the urgent demand for accessible remote education during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the product scaled rapidly to serve millions of users, I led the design of its core experience — balancing usability, scalability, and educational clarity.

I was involved from the early MVP phase through to the growth stage, building a modular interface system that supported courses, video content, assessments, progress tracking, and multilingual UI.

I worked closely with product teams and educators to translate curriculum requirements into clear, interactive learning flows. We prioritized ease of use across devices and regions, ensuring access even for low-tech users.

One of the key design challenges was scaling the platform while maintaining consistency and performance. I developed a reusable UI library and structured content layouts that enabled faster updates and onboarding of new modules. As the platform evolved, I integrated usage data into design decisions — improving retention and reducing user friction through iteration.

The platform ultimately reached over 3.5 million users and became a benchmark in Kazakhstan’s EdTech landscape. It also attracted over $2.5 million in investment and was recognized as a flagship digital education initiative in the region.
